Maserati Kyalami

Unveiled in 1976, the Maserati Kyalami carried the brand’s four-seat grand-touring tradition into the Fiat era, succeeding the Mexico and occupying the niche until production ended in 1983.
History
The Kyalami was the first new Maserati introduced after Alejandro de Tomaso’s takeover and the subsequent absorption into Fiat, signalling a shift in corporate ownership. Its name pays homage to the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa, where a Cooper-Maserati T81 secured victory in the 1967 South African Grand Prix.

This two-door, four-seat coupé rides on a 4 580 mm long, 1 850 mm wide and 1 270 mm low silhouette, tipping the scales at 1 700 kg—proportions typical of 1970s Italian GT cars.
