Fiat Doblò

Debuted at the 2000 Paris Motor Show, the Fiat Doblò has stood for more than two decades as Fiat’s compact van and mini-MPV solution, outlasting its predecessor the Fiat Fiorino and venturing into several rebranded forms across the globe.
Development & First Generation
Fiat launched the original Doblò in 2000 with modest exterior dimensions—4 255 mm long, 1 720 mm wide and 1 820 mm tall—that still delivered surprisingly roomy cargo capacity for its class. Built at Fiat’s warm-weather plants in Italy and Turkey, the first generation quickly became a staple for urban delivery services and small families who needed van-like practicality in a footprint no larger than a small hatchback.
Generations & Rebadging
A second-generation model arrived in 2010, underpinning not only European-market Doblòs but also the 2015–2022 RAM ProMaster City in North America and the Opel/Vauxhall Combo in the UK and mainland Europe. When the third generation bowed in June 2022, Fiat switched to a rebadging strategy, adopting the 2018 Citroën Berlingo platform. As a result, the current Doblò is mechanically identical to the Opel/Vauxhall Combo, Peugeot Partner, Toyota ProAce and Citroën Berlingo, broadening its reach across multiple dealer networks.
Global Reach
Beyond its Italian home market, Doblò vehicles have rolled off lines in Brazil, Turkey and Mexico under both the Fiat and RAM nameplates, illustrating the adaptability of the platform to various emission, crash and load requirements. The model’s flexibility has made it a quiet fixture from London courier fleets to North American last-mile delivery services.
